Activity: Laugh evilly. Brainstorm on different interpretations for the word "dark". Draw your interpretation of "dark" in the dark club room. Club/Pub Fair TUESDAY 10/16/07 in the cafeteria: So far, Yin said she'd help out and Monika might come. Anyone else? You can help by bringing in anime posters/art compiliations/mangas or by shouting over everyone else trying to promote our club. lol.

Ook, so it's Tuesday only? Not Monday? Ah well, I already made the poster thingy. Iit's like...big and I taped a whole bunch of random people's artwork on it, and there's the words MANGAKA CLUB in big typed letters over three pages on top. Hope it'll do.


For fundraising, are we gonna get the candy at the club/pub fair? Or later?

You know, when I bring in the big poster thingy I made...I'm not sure if it'll fit in my locker, and I don't wanna carry it everywhere. Does our club have like... a personal storage place? And what should I do with it after the fair? Well, I guess I'll figure things out as they go.

Cools, that sounds good. I'm bringing some posters too. uhm, I'm sure it'd fit into your locker if you roll it up x_X and no, we don't have a special storage place. We just use our own lockers.
After the fair, you can just bring it home...and maybe hang it up on your own wall.
You guys can get the candy from us during the meeting this Friday. Just tell us how much you plan on getting in the start selling link above so we know how much candy to bring to the meeting.

There will probably be maps of the stations where each club will be in the cafeteria posted on the doors to the cafe so look up Mangaka on the list and come find Gumi, Jamie, or me.

LOL, omgsh, this little boy was walking toward our table so i was like "Hey, do you like manga or drawing?" He gave me this scared/wide-eyed look(O_O!) and then immediately turned around and ran away from me!!! ahhhh, I don't think I'm that scary...or maybe I am... X.X

Someone left their How to Draw Manga Sketching Manga-Style 1) Sketching to Plan book at the fair today. Who brought it? (It's very nice, btw.) Well, to whoever it belongs to, you can pick it up in the meeting on Friday.

Um ... about the meeting tomorrow, I don't think I can come ... I just found out about this meeting, and I already had something planned ... I mean, I really wanna come, and I'd love to come, but I can't. I'm really sorry.

I just didn't know, and I mean, I didn't join that many clubs, just one other club, which just happens to have a meeting tomorrow, and I've known about it all week, and I wanna go, but I feel horrible for missing your meeting, which would be the first meeting in the managaka club, if i was going .... yeah, I'm just squeezing this all into one jumbly paragraph, but I hope you can understand.

And about the club/pub fair, don't worry. I don't think you guys are scary, it's just that when I went to the fair, if I stood a foot away from any club, they would just shout "JOIN OUR CLUB! JOIN OUR CLUB!"

Yeah, I'd run away too. That's a lot of pressure to put on freshman, y'know. So, yeah. That's all I wanted to say.

btw, this isn't our first meeting this year. You might have missed the posters in the staircases for the previous 2 but it's ok since you're new.

Relax, meetings aren't mandatory but we do need like 3+ people there, and we're not going to like eat you if you don't come. But it's nice that you're interested.

About the fair- Yeah, there were some creepy, intimidating tactics people used to draw attention. For example: When I was about to leave the fair, this guy approached me and slung his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer to his body. He began to speak in a really soft, calm, and sure voice.
I got all sorts of weird ideas and it seriously sounded like he was trying to sell me drugs. But what he actually said was something like: "Have you heard of the True Arts Guild? It's this wonderful-" I laughed and just walked away. Maybe that was a bit rude.
