| Original stuff...I guess... Update: Sep 2, 07Totally random. A result of my sudden urge to draw...something. After seeing lots of Okami fanart. Hmm...like a hybrid of Suikoden and Okami-ness...with a touch of me. Ish. Whatever... Update: August 20, 07How long has it been since I posted up a handdrawn pic? I must be getting lazy. That, or my tablet craze has worn down now. But I still like my scanner. And this is a girl (points to skirt). She's really flat-chested. But I like flat-chested. Big breasts freak me out. Oh wow, I'm sounding just like Laharl-sama. "Keep those things AWAY from me~~!!" Myahahaha~ PS: If her skirt / butt looks funny, pretend there's an iron cage underneath....or something. Update: August 17, 07After so long, I might as well try putting something up. Baaaah~ Flyff and gaming is taking over my summer... Update: June 21, 07I'm FREE! No more homework, no more tests, my summer vacation has finally begun~~ Well, there's still the last day of school, but that doesn't really count much. Doodle time. More mage-ish people. My try at chibi. I shall call it..... Magey. ((Ok, now that I look at it, I think her nose looks a bit flat...but oh well)) Update: June 12, 07Yay, I have a day off tomorrow! I can sleep/ study for finals/doodle on my tablet again!! So...PRACTICE time! Here's some experimentation with lighting and drawing cloth...lineless-ly...ish...yeah. I tried. Update: May 21, 07Doodle..kinda recent...kinda not recent... Update: Apr. 10, 07Too lazy to do colors... Update: Apr. 9, 07More...practicing... Update: Apr. 7, 07Just something... Update: Apr. 5, 07Been on Gaia too much...but I'm making a fortune off of avi art (not showing any of those here though...too embarrassing)...But I like drawing myself... Update: Apr. 3, 07I decided to apply everything (or...at least almost everything) I had in me to try to draw something I'm proud of...at least using some effort for a change... Update: Apr. 1, 07I've been feeling artistically inferior lately...I can't seem to draw anything really beautiful yet...maybe never...I'm just...gonna keep...on...practicing... Update: Mar. 23, 07More tablet fun! I'm starting to like using Open Canvas...a lot. And...more Gaia mania. Update: Mar. 22, 07Now that I have a tablet, I can draw stuff for Gaia faster! But...it's still a first for me. *twitch* Gaia? Erg...just drawing for the gold, myehehehe. PS: Ferdverel is my username there. Update: Mar.20, 07Pretend its slanted on purpose. After Spring CleaningOtter Sunset Random Winged Girl Christmas Contest Pics (the winner) Pale Grass Chibi Dreamy Gunner Girl Drawn on the Oct20 Mangaka meeting Girl and Dragon (done a long time ago) Random Character on MSPaint

| Wow, where do yu get all of these clothing ideas? Some of them are pretty cool. I like the hat and goggles in the first one. For the second one, the scarf seems to be blown by the wind but everything else isn't. The bowtie for example. The third has really awesome clothes but I want to know what happened there. I think it started out as a pencil sketch and you colored it in with some editing program. Missed a few spots. The fourth one is pretty much fine. The last and 5th one. The top of the boy's head is a little too high. Kinda overdid the hair part there. But I love this one the best. It's so cute~! It seems your "style" is best when it comes to just penciling strokes to make the hair. I can see that there's a problem when it cmes to wrinkles. Don't worry about it too much, instead, keep them simple and sharp/jaggedy like the first and last drawing. Your drawing is great, keep up the great work! Can't wait to see the crazy new clothing designs you come up with! | |

| Wow, those are some great tips. They're really helpful! Thanks Lawrence.
I can see my mistake in my second pic, the contradicting wind on clothing. Thanks. As for the third pic, I already mentioned it was done in MSPaint entirely, and I was just too lazy to fix it up. Maybe I should, ya? And for the fifth one, I can see what you mean with the hair. I'll probably fix it and/or draw it over using a different way to draw hair (like...not just pencil strokes).
Hm...and I should practice drawing cloth folds and the like. Yuppers.
And well...I don't really think my clothing ideas are anything fantastic...They look pretty normal to me...but thanks, anyway.

| yayy, nice stuff yin! the 2nd brave person besides me to post up their art. :hugsyin: 2 nice character and cute expression ^__^ mm, she needs a sword belt and holder of some sort 'cause right now, the sword is floating in space. also, the sword is kind of too high up her back so that the weight doesn't seem to be balancing out. perhaps more shading on the sword could help too. 4 that dragon/pet thing is maddddd adorable! hmm her head looks a bit squished. face outline around cheeks and chin is a bit off. i can't explain online but i can show u what i mean when i see u. as for anatomy, it might help to break up a figure into simple 3D shapes(cylinders, spheres, rounded rectangular prisms and the like). she's pretty short but that can be a stylistic thing. her buttocks looks flat. shoelaces would look more realistic if you drew two lines per lace rather than a single one. 5 waiiiii~ this one is sweet. yay for flying-hug-attacks!!! | |

Er...yea, wait, aren't I the third to post up pics? Didn't that Monika person do it before me? Well doesn't matter...I'm not brave, I'm just sticking to my word. Hm...yeah, I know the sword kinda looks ridiculously big, but I can see what you mean about the weight proportion. Also, there's this belt thingy going across her chest thats supposed to be the sword holder...maybe not too practical though...ehehe Thanks for the tips for #4. I'll take them into account for future works. People seem to like my #5...I don't know why...

| Your characters seem to be floating in space. Rather, they're not affected by gravity. I believe I commented on that when I saw your drawings. I like the strong pose and the freeness of the limbs and such, but such poses can seem unnatural at times.
They are pretty cute though. That MS Paint one I'm guessing you did with a tablet.

| basically, a tablet is a special board and pen u can draw with that draws directly into your computer. this makes digital coloring or making clean lineart a bit easier. www.wacom.com | |

www.wacom.com Wow...that would be a really nice thing to own. I've always wondered how people could actually make digital drawings so nice. Now I know. Thanks.

| yea, they're pretty handy to have. x] but it's still feels a bit odd to use since you'd have to draw on the board but look at the computer screen rather than looking down onto the paper(so in other words it, it's weird having to draw a curve without knowing exactly where you want the curve to stop) well technically, you can still make beautiful digital art with a mouse. i've seen some really great artists who uses the mouse. like for instance, you can still obtain smooth lines/curves with a mouse by using the pen tool in PS to create paths. just read some of the tutorials in the reference section. | |

| you design the cutest hats >__< and clothing in general. you're good at hands too. waa~ <3 i think the shoulders tend to be a bit uneven.. and the second picture seems a little offbalance, in the angle of the legs.. for that kind of pose to be natural the hips are forward and then the legs are back more..? like you did in your MS Paint picture. or you can just have his legs standing wider apart like in Gunner Girl. but you know this already, don't you.. sorry ._. but i appreciate the update quite nice pictures you've contributed <3 | |

| Thanks for the comments everyone. I guess I'll keep working on it...practice and everything, you know?
As for the hands, I kind of suck at them too. The only way I can ever draw decent ones are if I use my own hands as models...but then, I have to twist them all around because...the left hands drawn are my right hands backwards...or something like that, yeah? Besides, practice makes perfect, right? Or...at least pretty good, if not perfect...'cause nothing's perfect...I think.

| well, instead of twisting your hand, if you really need reference, you can always take a pic of yourself with autoflash on a digicam =] | |

| The 12-06-2006 one looks almost perfect. No big mistakes and you didn't erase much! *gasps* don't know how you do that! I like the neckerchief! About the wrinkles, I'm not so sure of that. There should probably be more detail at where the sleeve ends rather than in the middle. The arms are almost vertically down so there shouldn't be too many wrinkles. Almost smooth like. I can see you forgot just a little bit of erasing at the jacket's end. Or maybe not? Looks like it's just extended a little too long. Ah, what am I saying, the whole pic is really good. I'm just picking at the parts that don't matter. Don't listen to me. | |

| Yeah, it's sooooo cute! xD. Lol, you may think this is weird, but I think of Kairi/Riku when I see this, and that flying thingee reminds of Navi or a faerie/fairy from Zelda. | |

| Thanks for the comments guys. And yes, it actually is a little faerie frm Zelda. Let's call her Tavi. Ah anyway... That's a hood, not a neckerchief by the way. And yeah, I kinda need to work on the sleeves a bit, but the reason there're wrinkles are becase the sleeve is longer than her arm kinda, you know? But I did like how smooth it turned out, at least... Thanks again, everyone... | |
